About me

Designing with
empathy at
the centre.

I'm Rosemary, a UX/UI designer and researcher based in Vancouver, BC. I design with people in mind, taking time to understand their needs, their frustrations, and what actually makes things easier. My work focuses on turning real insights into simple, thoughtful experiences.

I'm currently studying Interaction Design at Emily Carr University, where I explore research, usability, and human-centered design.

How I got into design

Design started with curiosity for me. I've always wanted to understand people — what frustrates them, what makes things easier, and what gets in the way.

When I found UX/UI design, it felt like a natural fit. It gave me a way to turn that curiosity into something practical.

I come from a participatory design background, so I focus on working with people, not just designing for them. I pay attention to real experiences, real needs, and the small details that make a difference.

Where I am today

I'm currently completing my BDes in Interaction Design at Emily Carr University of Art + Design.

Most of my work focuses on research, user experience, and creating thoughtful digital products. I enjoy projects where I can explore real problems and design solutions that feel clear, useful, and human.

Alongside school, I've worked on design projects, content creation, and hands-on creative work — all of which shape how I think and design.

Beyond the work

Outside of design

When I'm not designing, I'm usually out exploring — visiting parks and beaches, taking in Vancouver's scenery, or gallery hopping around the city. I enjoy trying new restaurants, traveling when I can, and experiencing places in a slow, observant way. I'm drawn to environments that feel intentional, whether it's a well-designed space, a thoughtful meal, or a quiet moment by the water.
